Create and maintain positive, healthy relationships with professors. Your professors are a tremendous resource and can help you greatly. Be sure to help if the opportunity presents itself and ask a lot of questions. Your grades and the opportunities you are offered will be better if you take the time to build good relationships with your professors.

Go for classes that make you think, rather than easy grade classes. It is beneficial to challenge yourself. You learn more from harder classes and you make more ambitious friends.

Don’t think that being cool in high school has anything to do with college. Even if you were a straight A student in high school, or a star athlete, college will be a totally different world where no one will care about that. Try new things and push yourself to succeed.
